Saddle Covers

Finding your saddle uncomfortable all of a sudden? While sometimes you will find riding a bike uncomfortable after an extended break, saddles do wear. Saddles are commonly made from gel or memory foam and over time, and with use this reduces in volume. Or sometimes it will compress and become less able to absorb your body weight or road shocks. Making your riding experience uncomfortable!

If buying a new saddle seems like too much effort, you can try a saddle cover. These simply fit over your existing bike seat like a hat. They will usually have a stretchy cord to hold them on, or sometimes a pull cord.

A cover on your bike seat will make a big difference if you don’t commonly ride in lycra or knicks. And it can be a good way to transition from a long period off a bike, to riding all the time.
